Forest Gate Youth

Forest Gate Youth is for young people aged 11–18. It’s a place to hang out, make friends, have fun, and explore life and faith in a relaxed and welcoming way.

You don’t have to be a Christian.
You don’t have to know anything about church. If you’re curious, friendly, or just looking for somewhere safe to belong, you are welcome here.

All our sessions are led by DBS-checked, safeguarding-trained volunteers who care about young people and take their wellbeing seriously.

We want every young person who comes through our doors to feel:

  • free to be themselves

  • free to ask questions

We don’t tolerate bullying, discrimination, or pressure of any kind.

Belonging comes before belief.

What are our sessions like?

Our youth groups are:

  • relaxed and informal

  • friendly and inclusive

  • well-supported and supervised

  • open to questions and different views

You’ll find games, activities, conversations, food, laughter, and space to talk about real life.

No one is put on the spot.
No one is forced to believe anything.
You can join in as much or as little as you like.

Our main youth club.

Games, activities, food, chats, and time with friends.

A great place to start if you’re new.

Latecrash

Fridays (term-time)
Years 9–13
8:00pm – 9:00pm

A relaxed social space for older young people.

Time to chill out, talk, play games, and spend time together in a safe environment.

Housecrash

3rd Sunday of the month
Years 9–13
6:30pm – 8:00pm

A smaller group for deeper conversations.

We talk honestly about life, relationships, challenges, and faith in a supportive setting.

Sunday youth

2nd Sunday of the month
Years 7–13
During the morning service

A space for young people during the church service.

We explore real-life topics and what faith might mean today.

Practical Information

  • All sessions take place at Forest Gate Church, Mitcheldean (other than Housecrash, please contact us for the location)

  • All groups are free

  • No booking needed

  • You’re welcome to bring a friend
